The Postojna Cave tourism office in cooperation with Regional Tourist Board Postojna, Tourist Association Postojna and other tourist organisations guarantee a wide range of events and exclusive cultural events throughout the year.
A new feature that was first organised in the autumn of 2004 are concerts given by the top performers of blues in the big hall of Jamski dvorec.

During the 2004-2005 season, six concerts were held, and in May, the season concluded with a two day international blues festival held in front of the Postojna Cave. The new season will begin in autumn 2005.

The Cerknica Shrovetide carnival is a traditional conclusion to annual regional events which celebrates old winter traditions. It begins with the "sawing of the old woman" on Thursday, continues with a meeting of the Regional Assembly of Butale on Friday, and peaks with a carnival on the streets of Cerknica on Shrovetide Sunday. It ends with the burial of Shrovetide on Ash Wednesday.
